Condolence From: Angus Taylor
Condolence: Just now heard of Mr Wells'passing (thanks to Bob Pelley). Mr Wells was a great teacher who managed to keep us in place while at the same time gaining our respect. He was always measured in his approach and found a way to get the job done and still keep us on his side, although he may not have felt we were always on his side. Not easy when he was trying to teach us French :) He connected with us as students in an authentic way while still maintaining the difference between student and teacher. It was so good to chat with him during our 2015 reunion.God bless Mr Wells

Condolence: Robert Pelley kindly sent me news of your passing. AS the youngest of the Burseys , I was often absorbing the conversation around me and the opinions flowed about school , teachers, fellow students. I don't recall, even when I moved from the two room kindergarten to join the rest of them ever hearing anything but praise for Mr. Wwlls.I will pass this on as I know we all have great memories. Blessings to all the family,
Karen Bursey Fraser, High River Alberta

Condolence From: Robert Pelley
Condolence: First of all, my sincerest sympathies to Winnifred and may you have the courage to get through this tough period, my prayers as much for you as for Gil. He was a good teacher but even more, it would appear that he must been physicly very strong - at a certain period in the late 50s, it would be safe to say he carried Gander Amalgamated on his shoulders. The folks up there better keep theselves in line or they will be spoken to, softly but nonetheless, very clearly. Again my condoleance to the family.
