It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick W. Hoskins announce his passing at the L.A. Miller Centre, St. Johns on Monday December 1, 2016 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years Phyllis; son Paul (Charlotte) of Red Deer, AB; daughter Carol Moores (Stan) of St. Johns, NL; his pride and joy grandson Nicholas, also a large circle of extended relatives, especially the Roberts family whom he was proud to be a part of and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Chesley & Cecilia Hoskins; and infant twin brother Stewart. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe avenue, Gander on Friday December 2, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Brain Candow with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, donations may be made in Frederick’s memory to the L.A. Miller Centre of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Fred & Phyllis loved to travel and were fortunate to see many places in the world. Fred will be remembered as a true gentleman who was kind and generous to everyone he met. He was man who always choose to see the good in everything. The family wishes to express and heartfelt thankyou for the support from friends and family and also to the Doctors, Nurses, Nursing staff and many volunteers at the Palliative Care Unit at the L. A.
