July 1st, 1929-June 20th,2020
Passed peacefully away on Saturday, June 20th , 2020 Gerald B Richardson( Richie) originally from St. Johns, residing in Gander since 1980.
Predeceased by his loving wife Rowena, father Thomas , mother Mary as well as sisters, Maureen, Nancy, Marie, Joan and Patricia.
Leaving to mourn, with many wonderful memories, Tony ( Eithne), daughters Donna (Wes) and Wanda (Larry), grandson/buddy Tyler (Charlotte).
Also brother Bernard, sisters Josephine and Dorothy as well as many nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.
Gerald started working with Postal Telegraphs as a messenger at the age of 13 and stayed with them for 47 years through the changes to CNT and TNT.
Special thanks to and our sincere appreciation of “The Girls” working at Nightingale Manor. Dad told us many times of their caring and kindness during his seven years with them. Also thanks to Dr. Carmel Casey for her many years of dedication and care.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a private family service will take place at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerald’s memory may be made to the Gander and Area Food Bank.
Arrangements entrusted through Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander.
