Dad was one of the founding fathers of our community, beginning on Foss Ave. and continuing on to Pinedo Rd. He had an eventful career with Transport Canada spanning 38 years. During that time, he had received the Transport Canada award of Merit for his vigilance that subsequently prevented a serious aircraft accident.
Dad also assisted in mounting the Hudson Bomber on Burner Hill and drove the tug to where the Hudson bomber sits today at the North Atlantic Aviation Museum .
Dad was proud of his family, friends and community.
He taught us the meaning of love, guided us to make smart decisions. He showed us that compassion made you a better person. Dad’s love of family and his desire to be surrounded by family has made this journey as comforting to all of us as it did to him.
A special Thank You to the staff at Nightingale Manor, Dr. Paulus and Nursing Staff at JPMHC and a special Thank You to Reverend Brian for your support to us during this journey.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Gerald’s memory may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
